The SUP route to NVQ achievement (upskilling workers)

ACHIEVING THE NVQ VIA THE SUP ROUTE

The NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) has been designed to provide a nationwide standard of assessment in most work occupations.  The SUP (CITB's Specialist Upskilling Programme) route, permits a skilled worker to gain upskilling training with an NVQ outcome.
In association with StoneTrain and the NSITG we have developed the course
  • Stone Industry Professional Practice (level 3)

This is ideally suited to the following groups of CITB registered firm employees:
  1. Skilled stonemasons who are taking on roles in the drawing room, or as estimators, planners, surveyors etc
  2. Skilled professionals, such as draftsmen, estimators, surveyors and construction managers etc desiring to specialize in the natural stone construction sector

The course is completed over 12 months, with just 8 training events to attend off-site.  Successful candidates will also be able to achieve the Level 3 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations, which enables to holder to apply for the gold CSCS Card.

THE BEST NEWS IS…

For CITB registered firms, the fee to enroll onto the programme is over-compensated for by the CITB SUP grant…. making enrollment a no-brainer!
