Study Notes: Construction Occupations Level 2 NVQ – HSE Risk Charts
As part of the knowledge requirements for most construction related level 2 NVQs, learner need to be able to cite the following charts:

THE HSE (Health & Safety Executive) Top 10 Safety Risks:
  1. Ladder falls
  2. Fragile roof falls
  3. Lifting operation injuries
  4. Site plant strike
  5. Site plant overturning
  6. Scaffolding falls
  7. Internal void falls
  8. Asphyxiation poisoning
  9. Failing excavation
  10. Mobile working platform entrapment
THE HSE (Health & Safety Executive) Top 5 Health Risks:
  1. Asbestos exposure
  2. Silica exposure
  3. Manual handling injury
  4. Excessive noise injury
  5. Excessive vibration injury
